Pawan Kalyan ia a younger brother of actor chiranjeevi.Kalyan was born in mogoltur.He acted in many hit movies like THOLI PREMA,THAMMUDU,KUSHI and SUSSWAGATAM.He also dircted a movie named johnny,which flopped at the box office.His new film is titled BANGARAM.Because his name starts with a P,his fans call him powerstar Pawan Kalyan.He has gained his stardom with the blockbuster tholi prema.Though he has acted in just few movies,he has achieved immense fan following as all of movies from tholi prema and kushi were blockbusters.He is known for his uniqueness in style,fashion and his dedication during the making of a movie.He was born in chirala,Andhra Pradesh,India to Sri Venkat Rao and smt. Anjana devi.Pavan kalyan entered telugu movie industry with "akkada ammayi ikkada abbayi" as kalyan babu.Though this film did well at the box office ,pawan kalyan was noticed for his expertise in martial arts.Pawan made his first official directional debut with johnny,for which he travelled to japan to get trained in martial art aikido.Renu desai and himself cast as lead actors, the film was a disaster at the boxoffice.Gudumba shankar(2004), for which pawan contributed screenplay and other artistic skills was seen as a good family entertainer despite not living up to the box office expectations.Balu (2005) by vyjayanthi films did'nt fare well either.His next movie bangaram failed too.Annavaram (2006) was an average grossero.Jalsa(2008), is the most widely releasedsouth indian picture ever (approximately 1000 theaters worldwide).Jalsa also completed 50 days in 282 centers and celebrated 100 days in 25 centers and became the biggest hit in telugu film industry .Currently he is working in a film named pulli directed by S.J Suryah ,music of this film is given by the oscar award winner A.R.Rahman.Pawan kalyan is involved in the state ploitics of Andhra pradesh. He was appointed as the president of yuva rajyam, the youth wing of praja rajyam.Pawan kalyan has started an organisation called common man protection force(CMPF) in october 2007.He has contributed 1 crore INR towards the corups fund,CMPF aims to solve the social problems,help the neglected sections of the society ,in India.He makes sure that all this films have a message for the viewers,making them aware of the problems in the society and quest towards the solutions. He is aperson who always questions his motives constantly.
