prabhas raju uppalapati (born october 23 1980), popularly known as prabhas is atollywood actor and the nephew of tollywood star and politician krishnam raju .U .He currently lives in hyderabad,India. His father is U.suryanarayana raju and mother is siva kumari.He is one of three children .His brother is prabodh and sister is pragathi.
Prabhas started his movie career with eshwar in 2002 about a poor boy falling in love with arich girl.In 2003 ,he was seen as tha lead in raghavendra .Both did not do well at the box offic.Varsham(2004) reversed his fortunes .He was cast opposite trisha krishnan.The film went on to became a huge hit. Then he acted under the direction of B.Gopal in adavi ramudu,which miserably failed at the box office.IN krishna vamsi film chakram(2005) he played a cancer patient rebel,with shriya saran was amonumental blockbuster.The movie which followed like pournami(2006),yogi,munna(2007) and bujjigadu(2008) however failed to leave an impact at theboxoffice .IN 2009 PRABHAS was seen billa ,which is a reworked telugu version of the hugely successful bollywood film don. The movie stars anushka shetty and namita and also hansika motwani doing an item number.He shared screen space for the first time with his real life uncle,krishnam raju .U. The movie turned out to be a hit,giving prabhas a much needed breathe.
